The Vitiligo Disease Activity (VIDA) Score is a 6-point scale for assessing
Vitiligo activity. It helps assess effectiveness of interventions to halt and reverse the extention of
depigmentation.
Scoring
Based on the individual's own opinion of the present disease activity over time.
Active Vitiligo involves either one of the following aspects:
(1) Expansion of existing lesions or
(2)
Appearance of new lesions.

| Active | 6 weeks or less | +4 |
| Active | 6 weeks to 3 months | +3 |
| Active | 3 - 6 months | +2 |
| Active | 6 - 12 months | +1 |
| Stable | 1 year or more | 0 |
| Stable with spontaneous repigmentation | 1 year or more | -1 |
Interpretation:
• Reduction in VIDA score indicates better control of Vitiligo. It is
one of the objectives of any comprehensive
repigmentation treatment.
